How To Update Your License From Wibu To iLok

This article will walk you through the steps you need to update your Antares plug-in licenses to the PACE iLok protected versions.

We've made the decision to update our license copy protection system to iLok. This change will provide you more flexibility in managing your licenses, and most importantly, improve their stability. You’ll be able to activate your licenses directly on your computer or on a physical iLok dongle. 

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to ensure a smooth transition. We'll cover the process for both new and existing iLok users, so no matter your situation, we've got you covered.

 

Step 1: Login To Auto-Tune Central

The license update process happens in the Auto-Tune Central application. If you don't already have Auto-Tune Central, you can download it here. Log in using the same email address used to purchase your Auto-Tune Unlimited subscription or perpetual licenses.

Step 2: Link an iLok Account

Upon launching Auto-Tune Central, you will be prompted to link an iLok account. This process varies slightly, depending on whether or not you already have an existing iLok account. Please follow the instructions below that best match your situation: 

• (Optional) Step 2a: I need to create an iLok Account
  • If you don't already have an iLok account, please visit the iLok website to create one. Fill in your details and verification information, then click the green Create Account button.
  • Important Note: After creating your account, you will receive a link via email to verify your account. Please be sure to verify your account before proceeding.

• Step 2b: I already have an existing iLok Account
  • If you already have an iLok account, or have just created one, enter your User ID in the box, then click the Continue to iLok button to sign into your account. You will be redirected to the iLok website to sign into your account and authorize the linking process. 

Step 3: Install and Activate Your License

Click the Install button next to your license. If you have an Auto-Tune Unlimited subscription or similar plug-in bundle, you can install all of the included plug-ins with one click using the Install All button. Please note that this is a new version of your plug-in, so you will need to reinstall it if you had previously been using the Wibu version.

After successfully installing the new version of your plug-in, click the Activate button. Each license comes with 2 activation locations. This update provides the option to activate your license onto a physical iLok dongle if you have one, but you can also choose to activate your license onto your computer, just like before. 

And that's it! After following these steps, you'll have linked an iLok account to Auto-Tune Central and have updated your plug-in(s) to the new iLok version. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Success team.
