General Questions 

Q: What is Vocodist? 

A: Vocodist is the world's first vocoder plug-in with built in AutoTune. With an expansive collection of vocoder models, custom artist presets, and a robust set of vocal effects, Vocodist allows artists to explore new frontiers of vocal expression.

Q: How do I get Vocodist?

A: Vocodist is available to purchase individually as a perpetual license, or as part of an AutoTune Unlimited subscription. 

Q: Do I need an iLok?

A: As of November 1st, 2024, we have added the option to activate your Antares licenses onto a physical iLok dongle. Please see our iLok FAQ for more information.   
 

Installation and Activation

Q: Where do I download Vocodist? 

A: Vocodist is included in an AutoTune Unlimited license. It is available from our Auto-Tune Central application. 

Q: How do I install Vocodist? 

A: To install Vocodist, please follow these steps: 

1. Navigate to the Auto-Tune Central "Plug-Ins" tab.

2. Locate AutoTune Unlimited in your product list, and scroll through the plug-ins. Click the "Install" button next to Vocodist.

Q: How do I activate my license? 

A: After purchasing a perpetual license for Vocodist or subscribing to AutoTune Unlimited, the plugin license will be automatically registered to the email used at checkout. 

Please follow the steps here to activate the license using Auto-Tune Central. 

Q: Can I use my license on more than one computer? 

A: We allow up to two simultaneous activations of one AutoTune Unlimited license at any given time. To do this, please follow the steps here on each device you’d like to use the license on. 

Q: Do I need to connect to the internet to activate my license?

A: Yes, your computer will need to be connected to the internet when you initially activate the license, and on your subscription renewal date. Once your license is activated, you don’t need to stay online to use the plug-ins in your DAW. 

Q: I just purchased an AutoTune Unlimited subscription, but I didn’t receive my registration code. What should I do? 

A: If you don’t get an email confirmation with your registration code, please double-check any alternative email addresses that could have been used at checkout. When products are purchased on our site, they get automatically registered to the Antares account entered upon checkout. If you still can’t find your email confirmation or registration code, contact our support team here.
